Pavilion Road

Extensive care adaptation work of a six-bedroom property (full renovation of six bathrooms and water-damaged kitchen) and refurbishment of specialist care suite.

The Challenge

The family in residence initially agreed to move out for the duration of the project (6 months) but this proved to be logistically difficult due to the clients needs.

The Doherty Solution

We agreed to complete as much of the home renovations as possible during the family's four-week holiday. We deployed additional resources and by a combination of working extended hours and weekend work we managed to complete the bulk of the works in this timeframe. The works consisted of...

  • Removal of existing kitchen and remodelling of the space, along with the installation of a new, modern kitchen. This remodel included new bi-fold doors to allow easy access to the rear garden and terrace
  • Full refurbishment of specialist care suite for independent living, including wet room, bedroom, kitchen, and living area
  • Replaced all external windows/doors, repaired leaking roofs, and overhauled heating and electrical installations
  • Replacement of internal joinery and floor finishes along with redecoration of the entire property

When the family returned from holiday, they were delighted with the results.

Due to our family circumstances, it was important for the works to be carried out in as short a period as possible, we met with Brendan on several occasions ahead of the works commencing, to ensure the works were planned in detail, all finishes were selected, and we were fully briefed in terms of what to expect.
